Believe it or not, I made this in 2004 (maybe it was 2005)
with an I hook (i didn't know you had to use small hooks or thick yarn)
and stuffed it with rags (i didn't know they sold polyester stuffing)
This was made after I bought a booklet for crocheting baby items, I bought it for the bear pattern mostly. Up until then, I had no clue you could make stuffed animals out of crochet! (i had little internet access at the time, didn't know i could get free patterns online either!)
My sister liked it when i made it, she was about 4, so I gave it to her. The holes weren't that wide when I gave it to her, they just opened up more with the years.
I like looking back at this and then at the new stuff i make. I had to constantly keep the pattern in my sights as I went along with this, now I can just freeform anything I wish to make. Funny what 4 or 5 years of constant work can help one achieve.
